The new Health Sciences Building features four advanced nursing simulation labs, equipped with high-tech mannequins, cameras, and video displays to recreate realistic patient care scenarios. It also includes an emergency medical technician lab, complete with an ambulance simulator and mannequins designed to replicate real-world ambulance experiences. Additionally, the building offers pharmacy technology labs and nursing/medical assistant skills labs, furnished with 20 hospital-grade beds and headwalls, providing students with hands-on, practical training in a realistic healthcare setting.

The new Health Sciences Building opens as career opportunities in healthcare continue to grow in Orange County. According to the 2019 Orange County Workforce Indicators Report from the Orange County Business Council, healthcare sector job growth is expected to remain strong, fueled in part by Orange County's “aging population which has increased demand for Healthcare-related products and services." The report also states that healthcare training programs, such as SAC's, are instrumental for meeting the ongoing workforce needs of the county. “Community colleges serve as an important pipeline for these occupations," according to the report.
